Simple games for short sessions
I’ve been trying a few different casino games lately because I wanted something that didn’t require learning a lot of rules before getting started. I came across a simple card-based game and decided to give it a shot during a coffee break. It turned out to be much more engaging than I expected because every choice feels important, even though the gameplay itself is easy to understand. I had a couple of lucky rounds early on, but after that I slowed down and stopped instead of trying to stretch the session. It ended up being a much better experience than when I play for too long.

That’s pretty similar to how I approach those games now. I like formats where the rules are clear from the start, so I can focus on making decisions instead of figuring out complicated mechanics. I also try not to read too much into short winning or losing streaks because they can really affect how you play afterward. These days I keep my sessions short and stick with games I already know. This is what I use — hi lo casino — mainly because it’s easy to jump into, the gameplay is straightforward, and it works well when I only have a little free time.
